Indication : For the Management of Neuropathic pain.
Neuropathic pain is an outcome of disturbance of central or peripheral nervous system. It is a chronic pain state that usually is accompanied by tissue injury.
MOA : Gabapentin inhibits the pain signals by binding with high affinity to the α 2 δ subunit of voltage activated calcium channels. Nortriptyline increases concentration of serotonin and norepinephrine in the CNS.
